Isn't it a little late to be changing the message?

No longer welcomeÂ…Dem's purge their website

Despite convention portraits of a united party, Democrats frustrated with stagnate polls are not only sanitizing their message, they are sanitizing their website removing all outbound links to affiliates in a move that can only be seen as purging dissent.

With all indications showing the Democratic convention having the bounce effect of an anvil, the Kerry campaign continues to purge its previous left-leaning message and move rapidly back to the center. In an attempt to attract the elusive swing vote the well choreographed convention smoothly skipped over left leaning issues and positions such as abortion rights and gay marriage that were all the rage during the primaries. In an apparent attempt to combat polls showing the Kerry/Ewards ticket as weak on terror, Edwards resonated with the language of Bush announcing the Democrats message to terrorists "You cannot run. You cannot hide. We will destroy you," shutting out Howard Dean's Liberal Democrats. The fear of the possibility of dissent to the new Democrat message seems clear as the purge of the Democratic left message appears to have been quietly completed with the removal of all outside affiliate sites and links from the Kerry Edwards Official Website / Blog. As seen in this saved cache page prior to the convention, the official Kerry weblog contained links to various Democrat friendly or affiliated sites, along with several more radical sites and forums. Now a simple visit to the Kerry/Edwards site reveals a purged clean page with all reference to any of these previously listed sights removed. As noted on the cached, page the Kerry site had already had to remove one of the links due to comments deemed "insensitive" to the death of Americans killed in Iraq. One response to this action appears to have been prophetic, when the reader questioned whether they planned on censoring all of their linked sites.

Kerry distancing himself from the recent comments made by Howard Dean intimating that present terror warnings are being politically motivated seems to confirm his attempt to present a more mainstream message. But with the over all change in message and a site purging it appears that Kerry is sanitizing the left out of the Democratic platform all together. As yet Canada Free Press has received no comment from Democrat headquarters when asked for an explanation for the removal of the sites or the exact date it happened, however we were informed that as "foreign media" we "should not expect a timely response".

Well sure. It worked for Bill Clinton (twice) and Kerry would be an idiot to ignore that the illusion of being a centrist or moderate is enough to sway the great unwashed masses out there.

Why else is Kerry avoiding his Senate record like the plague? It's pretty hard to keep up an illusion when the truth keeps slapping you in the face.

Well, sure. Whatever the voters want, Kerry is.
