We are planning to spend a few days in Colorado in early October. I will be staying in Golden for business. Then we want to spend a couple of days somewhere else.
Looking around on the internet, I fell in love with Manitou Springs. Is it as nice as it looks? There seems to be lot to do and see in that area. What's a good place to stay?
I'd be very happy to get some hints! Thanks!
I don't know the lodging, etc., but Pike's Peak and the Garden of the Gods are worth a side trip. The traffic around Colorado Springs is murderous. It took me an hour and a half to get past the town when I dropped in on Dys & Diane last October.
I had a thought after posting the former; as you drive from Denver to Manitou Springs, you will drive past Castle Rock. On my last trip I noticed several signs advertising a factory outlet mall on the south side of the town.
Now, if I wanted Bigdice to know I was passing this tip along, I would probably tell him myself.
if anyone wondered why all the women love roger, see above ^^^
Oooh! Factory outlet! Thanks, Roger! Magic words for BigDice and me.
Beth, BigDice absolutely loves shopping! A lot more than I do, in fact... But anyway - you just have to love Roger! Yep!
Yup, roger, thanks for the consideration!Always nice to have buddies like you!!! Have a nice weekend, pal ;-)
