@Lash,
It's very hard to avoid your steaming piles of ill informed horse plop. Try posting something that isn't chock full of ignorance, prejudice and ersatz liberalism for once.

Don't give yourself an aneurism trying to do it though, I don't want to be responsible for that.

@izzythepush,
The ignore feature is helpful. You'll be completely oblivious to my maddening existence if you'll use it. Then I'll no longer have to engage you about your habit of misquoting me and generally lying about me. A win-win!

Your cronies won't have anything to quote- And we will cease to exist in the other's universe. C'mon. It's almost Christmas and I have been a very good girl.

Unless, of course, you actually thrive on random, unwarranted personal attacks and can no more stop yourself from bullying than any addict can control his substance abuse.

They have pills for what ails you. Read up on it! Wink

@izzythepush,
Izzy, would you mind taking your attacks to someone else's thread? I find the political conflict on this forum tedious and try to avoid wasting time on it if I can.

@Robert Gentel,
Is there an existing forum type out there that is a good example of the format you have in mind for A2K? For example, are you thinking of a more Reddit-like layout?

@rosborne979,
It will be similar in that there is one platform and multiple communities and there will be threaded views but different in that it will be more decentralized, the communities can be owned by the users (vs all owned by the platform) and with more tools available for communities (including things like blogs and wikis).

@farmerman,
Posting photos is definitely going to be part of the new platform but it won't be a photo hosting service per se (I recommend https://imgur.com for that) and may be limited to topics and not replies (i.e. upload a photo to discuss but not upload a photo in a comment). Still being worked out in terms of details but definitely something we want to do, and just need to figure out the economics for (photos cost a lot more to host than text).

@Robert Gentel,
There are several sites where teachers upload lesson plans of varying size. They pay one another for these materials.

Would anything like this be possible?

What about taking over the world? Will we be able to take over the world from this new "platform?"

@Lash,
Not sure, there are thoughts about letting people charge for access to their communities but that's not a huge part of our plans and we aren't sure if it will be something we focus on.

@George,
Hey George, my profession has created a lucrative cottage industry for materials, lesson plans, etc. I have spent a bit on these materials and have also massed some Common Core-aligned kinesthetic activities and PBL plans.

I've thought about selling my more successful stuff - wouldn't really solicit money for access to peruse, only specific purchases.

I can do it elsewhere, but the ability to direct teacher-to-teacher dialogue about legit helpful topics here is appealing.
