Somewhere in the last couple of weeks, I read a quote by George W. Bush where he said, "God speaks through me..."
Does anyone else remember that? Who was he speaking to at the time? I also remember seeing the quote in some op-ed piece, where the author (Maureen Dowd? Molly Ivins?) suggested that God has better subject-verb agreement than W does.
Any help finding this would be much appreciated...
The "quote" is;
"I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn't do my job."
It is claimed he said it during a private meeting with some Amish but I can't find any good evidence for it.
