Apparently from what I'm reading and hearing, the Wash Post, NY Times, and similar fishwrap merchants are weeping over Kerry's speech. Thomas Oliphant of the Boston Globe puts it thus:

Apparently the whole thing came on after 10 PM. I turned the TV on around 9:45 and all that was on was soap operas and the WWF, and I figured the networks had simply made the obvious choice and thereby missed the gigolo's speech. Shucks...
