Election issues quiz.
November 2 is approaching fast. Who would get your vote for the next president of the United States?Beyond the glitz and glamour of the conventions, the media hype, and the PR spin of the campaigns lies the substance of each candidate's bid for the White House: the issues.Do you know which candidate would best represent your views on important economic issues such as tax rates, the minimum wage, and international trade policies? Or which candidate would take the action you deem appropriate on a range of crucial foreign policy issues such as the situation in Iraq, North Korea's nuclear threat, and the war on terror? Are you sure which candidate most closely matches your beliefs on core cultural issues like abortion, same-sex marriage, and gun control?

Suggest you give it a shot. You may find it very interesting if not enlightening.

Now what do I do... I got one vote for Michael Badnarik, one for Bush, and one for Kerry?

Economic: half way between Bush and Kerry.
Foreign Policy: Kerry
Social: Between Kerry and the Libertarian.

Since I don't vote in the US, I guess that's one less potential vote for the Democrats.

Bush, Kerry, Nader/Cobb (a tie).

I know why it was Bush for economics, though: I answered that capitalists grow the economy, not the government. There was no subsequent question about what importance I attached to rampant economic growth.

In fact, most of the answer sets were ridiculously simplistic, and it was rare that my own answer wasn't a synthesis of multiple answers...

Economic issues: midway between Nader/Cobb and Kerry
Foreign policy issues: in between Nader/Cobb and Kerry, though closer to Nader/Cobb
Cultural issues: in between Kerry and Badnarik
