Really, the arguments against this war are just getting too easy at this point. I'm willing to start hearing the excuses for this one from those on the right anytime their ready, thank you.

But then, whats a few billion when your this deep in the red ink, eh?

Wasn't there a story earlier that the US had only spent 2% of allocated money on this so far because we were bankrupting the Iraqis before we tapped into US funds?

So yes it is costing a lot of cash but no we aren't paying the bill?

I didn't know there were standard costs for wars.

It cost 1 billion dollars per week to put the country on Orange Alert, that's about the same as the war in Iraq cost per week too.

I imagine it near impossible to estimate war cost because they rarely go as planned.

If your implying that this is no biggie because wars don't have "standard costs", cut it out. Anyway, of course it's hard to estimate the "cost of war", but 12.3 billion dollars is a pretty big f-up, no matter how you look at it.

Do YOU think our "enemy" only exists in Iraq? What about Afghanistan? remember that place? Terrorist reside all over the world. They don't all huddle in Iraq. Killing innocent civilians, occupying a ME country and our invasion on lies will do nothing to make us more secure.

Our enemy is quickly becoming ourselves. People think if they strap on a gun that they will be secure. That's the farthest thing from the truth. There are many things that will make us secure. Education, combined internaitonal effort, combined intelligence efforts, shoring up our own ports and borders, learning more about Islam and our enemy, and reaching out to the muslim world.

None of this has a thing to do with what is happening in Iraq which makes us less safe. I might add that the more Americans who are poor, uneducated and without resources will make our own streets less safe.

I'm always disappointed in the simplicity in which people think terrorism can be dealt with.
