One of those pottering type Sundays today ... A bit of this & a bit of that. Reading all the weekend papers, phone calls from friends, some cooking, some reading, some A2K .... A nice change from the past few days that have been a bit hectic. And it reached 33 C degrees .... Not bad for late March! A gorgeous warm day. Very Happy Today was the first day of "turning back the clock" after our summer months of daylight saving. It felt like it was it was far too early to be dark tonight! I miss summer already even though the weather's still quite warm.

Sunday is my day to be with my mom. I do her food shopping, bookkeeping, and set out her medication for the week. Sometimes we go out to lunch.

Later in the afternoon, I will probably finish raking up the leaves from my camphor tree. (I already have three big plastic bags full.) Strange indeed, in Florida. The leaves stay on the tree all winter. Then a lot of the old ones drop in early spring, and are immediately replaced with fresh new, light green ones!

Sounds like your Sundays are generally busy, Phoenix. I hope you find some time to relax & put your feet up for a bit.

At my previous house we had a tree with that habit. A Sth African one, I think a Caledendrum (sp?) The first year we lived there we brought in a tree surgeon when it mysteriously lost it's leaves at such an odd time. We thought it was dying.

I'm finally starting the back yard patio work that I couldn't complete last year. I have 258 patterned 16-inch pavers stacked in my driveway. My contractor was here yesterday to lay out the leveling stakes. Two yards of paving sand will be delivered next week and the small vehicle to level the yard will be rented---I insist on saving my contractor's back.

The paver installing is delayed for a week, which is a timing problem because all the bulbs and bare root plants I ordered are already arriving. The ground is not ready for them so I'm temporarily putting all the green plants into pots. The grower had said they wouldn't be shipped until April 5th, but we've had so much warm weather in Albuquerque that they shipped them early. Well, so much for trying to plan. Confused

My biggest problem is that my dog, Maddy, sees all these little plants and he thinks it a new salad for him to eat. He's been in trouble for the last two days and its so funny to watch him try to make up with the really pissed-off me. That dog had better wise up because, like a cat, he has only 7 lives left.

Isn't it great when these projects we've been planning, planning, planning finally get started? Very Happy
Aw, poor Maddy, I'm sure she didn't MEAN to cause such annoyance. I hope both of you have reached an understanding about the plants by now. Very Happy

My Sunday was yesterday. Too much time indoors. Cold here In Melbourne. Outdoors is a must today! Dizzy & light headed.

Is today YOUR Sunday? What are you up to?

What? No great earth shattering Sundays for A2Kers? No births, hearts broken, house fires, marriages, drunken orgies .... Question
Ah, you disappoint me! Rolling Eyes

Yeah, Saturday night my car, parked at the curb (kerb to you Brits) around the corner of my apartment (flat to etc.) was sideswiped by some drunken Saturday night driver. Discovered the damage Sunday morning when I was about to go for a spin. Didn't look bad, just a shattered side-view mirror. But when I tried to drive it, discovered there was some serious front-end damage; the thing couldn't be steered properly. Had it towed. Got it back yesterday (Monday). Upshot: over $800 (US) worth of damage, front left strut and other things broken, had to be replaced. I am not a happy camper this Tuesday morning.

Pooooor Merry Andrew - I'll say the Serenity Prayer for you 100 times. Them streets is dangerous in Boston, what you really need is a dirt road and a start to guide by. (and a SUV)

I knew you'd understand, Seaglass. But don't say the Serenity Prayer 100 times. That's too much to ask. Just say it 10 times and take a drive down to South Point and the Green Sand Beach and think of poor ole me.
