You seem to think he only made a single statement, he didn't.

He lied about 150 veterans telling him about their warcrimes when he testified before the senate.

He told the truth about his own war crimes.

Heck, even clinton probably told the truth once!

Yeah, that appears to be your opinion. I notice you did not address the rest of what I said!
That revelation could have ruined him politically, too. He took that risk, 'cause he knew it was the right thing to do.

How so? He was pandering to a anti war movement, it wasn't going going to hurt him when he was from a liberal state.

It was a calculating way to get votes by lying.
