well, incident wasn't DIRECTLY connected with him losing gold (he was still in the lead after it, and for a mile or so more) - and in the way race was developing it's quite possible that he would lose gold anyway. But, it's also truth that he was terribly upset by the incident.

The problem with an event like the marathon is that you just don't know. Those guys are on such a fine edge that it's possible that the sudden adreniline rush of being attacked could very likely of destroyed any chance of him maintaining his lead.

Sorry Holland

And don't forget indoor cycling - gold for Australia, silver for the Netherlands. As well in swimming was Australia better in certain occasions (although Van den Hoogenband did defeat Thorpe at least at the 100 metres freestyle, if I recall it correctly). But it's better to lose from Australians, than to lose from Germans. Nicht wahr, meine Nachbar Thok?

Laughing From tomorrow on .... hehehehehe ...

Now, I had a beautiful debate why Austria is NOT a German colony, but it seems I logged out, so that's one's lost. Anyway, just believe me when I say Austria is not a German colony  (I'm biased, I have Austrian relatives)

Half of mine and my wife's relatives are Austrians - that's why I know that!

Got logged out, too, btw.

Let me see: "You don't have a head. My dog has (had?) one eye(s?). I love fetta cheese, and cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese." Hmmm ... not the most useful things to know in German, but (not to discourage you): well done melbournian cheese!

Minor corrections to your translation, Rick:

... I make Fetta Cheese ...

'has' is correct translated.

'one eyes'
