Green Party vice presidential candidate Pat LaMarche says she is more concerned with defeating Bush than voting for herself, will vote for Kerry.
Well, follow the leader, huh?
When the ship is floundering......
I almost always vote Libertarian but this time I may vote for Kerry - even though I don't like Kerry. He is head and shoulders above Bush.
I haven't found a politician I "liked" since 1980
I've never truly liked any president in my memory.
Can't say that edgar, I adore Carter. Really think that history will show exactly how great he is and how stupid America was in 1980. The Republicans are always saying how everything good was their doing and everything bad was the Dems. Carter (along with Ford and Nixon, yes even him) got us out of the economic problems created by the Viet Nam War. Now, the Bush War is going to be another unbelieveable economic fiasco that will take years to offset......
Carter appointe Paul Volker to the Fed, and he immediately took effective steps to decrease inflation and bring down interest rates. Ol' Ray Gun wanted to get rid of him, but his advisors just about peed their pants. In the end, Volker did a seven year stint.
Bill, I love Carter the man, just not his presidency. I mis-spoke when I slighted him. I give money to the Carter foundation.
Yeah, Volker stayed around about a week after the smoking ban in federal buildings, then packed his box of cigars under his arm and walked. Within a week, the market crashed.
Hey, check the dates.
You don't mess with a man and his cigar...
"A woman is just a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke!"
Can't recall to whom that was attributed.
Bill Clinton to Monica

Actually, I think it was Groucho........
There was an episode from Groucho Marx's TV show "You Bet Your Life" in which Grouch was interviwing one of the contestants and the man revealed he had 11 children. Groucho said, "Why on Earth do you have 11 children?" The man replied, "Well, I really love my wife." Groucho replied, "Well, I love my cigar but I take it out of my mouth once in a while".
Of course, this was in the days of Live TV!
