a touchy subject. sports, boobs and sports sites

I understand from fleetingly looked at statistics that some women like american football. I read somewhere that it was quite a lot of us, but that was one read, though I agreed with it, a lot of us do, something like 48%.
(I don't trust that number). Probably an estimate of who the fans are.

Every time I go look at the Sports Illustrated site for info, I get some blast of Extra Mustard, with photos of balloon boobs.

I take it the site understands its audience. Or, some percentage of it. While balloon boob enflamed men may be needy, I think a lot of the rest of us want to read about some game or sports issue. And some of us think you are idiots.

I was an early subscriber for SI, the fifties, before the now present writers, or more likely, the PR dept, were out of diapers. I also tossed those issues out.

Economically dumb, but I was a teen and didn't need to haul around magazines.

@ossobuco,
Geez Osso!

I just checked the Sports Illustrated site (si.com). It took me several minutes to find what you were talking about. The web page is clearly dominated by sports; the NBA, Deflate Gate, and Boxing take center stage, with articles on tennis and soccer on the side.

There is one panel about boobs near the bottom of the page. You really have to go looking for it to even find it.

If you have a problem with breasts, then just ignore that panel.

This a minor part of the site but not all that minor. I probably check the site at least once a week. Boobs!!

It looks like that after their recent survey that they have done some changing.
We'll see.

Try not to step on all the boobs.

@maxdancona,
That is unusual.

Extra Mustard has been a big part of their pull.

If I concentrate, I might be able to remember the boobie bearer names.
Maybe I wasn't the only complainer.

@maxdancona,
Nah, I am making observations of balloons.

I subscribed to SI in the fifties, in my teens. I am no newbie to their stuff.

The last thing I am is a prude.

On the other hand, I really don't want to see what Kate Upton is doing one more time while I check out baseball to work out my next days fantasy baseball schedule.

They did do a survey a couple of weeks ago. Maybe there is some taming of this business of few women's sports and all time on line boobery. I say that as virtually all of the boobs are enhanced.

@ossobuco,
I don't understand the problem here.

Any magazine has lots of sections. You click on the sections you want to see and you ignore the rest. I enjoy football and baseball... I find basketball ridiculously boring. I could care less about tennis.

You click on the articles you want to read. You ignore the articles that you don't want to read.

I suppose it would be nice if there were magazines that only had articles that I found interesting. I have yet to find such a magazine... but it isn't that difficult to skip to the interesting content.

@ossobuco,
Look at this Osso, I may have just solved your problem.

Sports Illustrated has a page that is dedicated only to baseball. I checked for you. There is not a single boob on the page (except for Alex Rodriguez).

Your welcome.

@maxdancona,
Apparently we are talking while they have been changing.

Now things aren't so booby. I, on the other hand, have read through years of this.

If you want, you can probably look up any of their front pages on any day a few weeks ago.

I don't really care if you can't find them now. Kate Upton will get you!

@ossobuco,
I fibbed. I probably have checked in there before and after and during baseball and football season four times a week, during which I have gotten to see boob alerts. This over quite a few years.

Or maybe my computer is odd.

Interesting that one link is to overinflated boobs
while another is to underinflated balls.

I haven't been keeping abreast of the rules.
