The facts say you are wrong.
Most of the industrialized countries in the world have socialized health care. The US is the exception. The US has the highest health care costs by far by absolute dollar amount and by percentage of GDP. Countries with socialized, universal health care provide more comprehensive care with lower costs. In addition they have better outcomes -- e.g. lower infant mortality rates.
