From an historical perspective, part one

I have had it with these small business owners declaring that they will not serve gays. The Stonewall Inn Riots were in 1969 and were soon followed by the first Pride Parade that same year. That was more than half a century ago.
During that time, I do not remember small business owners refusing to serve gay people. However, gay and lesbian partners could not cover each other with insurance and could not visit when one was hospitalized.
While there are legitimate MEDICAL reasons for keeping a patient in isolation, gay and lesbian couples were denied access during hospitalization for SOCIAL and BUSINESS reasons.
The little Caesars of the business world are inspired by, certainly urged by and perhaps even paid by, right-wing and/or republican and/or evangelical operatives.
