Thanks for the link. I'd never seen Dennett talk with Dawkins before.

I said I'd take my leave but I just have to ask whether you liked or agreed with what Dennett said or not. After listening to it I would have guessed that you would have agreed with almost all of what he said but the title implies that it's something disagreeable.

On my honor, this is honest curiosity and not aggression of any sort.

I generally agree with him. I put the video up just to let people see what sort of man he is. He doesn't get the press some of these people get.

I enjoyed that video. Re #1 at the end, about not being able to be good with a god, maybe because it’s the easy explanation of “I don’t know, so therefore god”

We have a strong desire to be able to explain everything. It can be difficult for many to accept that sometimes it’s just that way, or “I don’t know” and be good with that.

It’s quite a blow to the ego to realize there is no grand purpose or meaning that somehow directly involves you.
