I am going to state the obvious here, although I shouldn't have to, since the people on a2k are supposed adults, many of whom are better educated than me. I have the utmost respect for many deists and agnostics. But this thread is on atheism for the fun of it. I am not striving for an award for clarity and incisive commentary. On here I don't have to give a **** what deists and agnostics think and I don't have to justify myself. If I want to post something trite or stupid, even, so what? Go read a book if you don't like it.

Every word in the Bible could be nonsense...Jesus may have been the creation of someone with a sense of humor...every religion now practiced or having been practiced in the past could be pure human invention...
...and atheism would still be nothing more than a blind guess about what the REALITY of existence IS.
Atheism is the other side of the coin called theism.
Oh...using logic and reason, one can conclude this is another day when there is no convincing evidence that there is at least one god...and this is another day when there is no convincing evidence that there are none.
New Biblical Guide to Hell for Small Children is Sick and Depraved
To be honest, I was unaware that people calling themselves Puritans still existed.
A new Christian book for children, The Cage: A Young Children’s Guide to the Biblical Teaching on Hell, by C. Matthew McMahon, Ph.D., Th.D., was published this month by Puritan Publications of Tennessee. McMahon is an American Calvinist Reformed theologian, adjunct professor at Whitefield Theological Seminary, and editor of A Puritan’s Mind, which the publisher’s promo describes as “the largest Reformed website on the internet for students of the Bible concerning Reformed Theology, the Puritans and Covenant Theology.”
The “tastefully illustrated” book is “aimed at children 5 to 9 years old.” The dedication page gives a taste of the dark things to come:
“But I will warn you to whom to fear: Fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him!” (Luke 12:5)…
“Do not withhold correction from a child, For if you beat him with a rod, he will not die. You shall beat him with a rod, And deliver his soul from hell,” (Proverbs 23:14).

Here are the book’s main lessons about hell for small kids: Hell is not a place where you can have fun. Hell is not a place where friends gather to hang around.
Hell is the furnace of fire where people go who die in their sins without being saved by Jesus… The people in hell are there forever, without any possibility of relief by the mercy or pity of God.

Who goes to hell? All people born with Adam’s sin in them go to hell if they don’t trust in Jesus… teenagers go to hell, and even little children can go to hell. Remember, little children are not too little to go hell.
