WASHINGTON June 21, 2004 ?- Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader selected longtime Green Party activist Peter Camejo to be his running mate on Monday, a move sure to boost his chances of winning the Green Party's endorsement this week and its access to ballot lines in 22 states and the District of Columbia.
Camejo, an investment adviser from Folsom, Calif., had been one of two leading contenders for the Green Party's presidential nomination.

Camejo is an interesting figure, no?

Back in the seventies, Peter Camejo was the presidential candidate of the Trotskyite Socialist Workers Party. He got more votes than any of the other presidential candidates the party put up for 24 years, but it still amounted to only 0,1% of the vote.

Then he became a stock exchange millionaire, right? And then he ended up third in the Californian governors race, as the Green candidate.

Life, eh?
