What inspires people to live on hate/racism?

It seems obvious. Ignorance. Unfamiliarity?

But, if you look at history... it is EXTREMELY racist.... like... that was the difference between the Persians and the Greeks. Their ethnicity. But do you think they would hate each other if they grew up next to each other?

Armenian genocide? Holocaust? Killing Native Americans? Roman slavery? Black slavery?

"Non-racism" is actually a new idea in terms of history. Even "tribal" people are mistrustful and competitive of other tribes by instinct.

I have seen people of basically every ethnicity (except Aborigine) in my life time. But that is a new thing in terms of history.

How long has that life time of yours been? Where did you meet these people of every ethnicity?

What is a new thing in terms of history, Aborigine or your claiming to have seen people of every ethnicity?

@Butrflynet,
I've seen them in the world. In the United States.

"new thing to history" is seeing people of every ethnicity. A person who lived in England (for example) in the year 1300 would never see an Indian or Chinese person in their whole life, most likely.

@farmerjohn1324,
I'm "logic impaired" for asking why people are racist?

What the heck? This place makes no sense.

@farmerjohn1324,
Really? Where besides the United States have you traveled to be able to see people of every ethnicity?

I've been on tours to Sweden, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Aruba, Canada and Mexico. I still wouldn't say that I got to know the people of those countries as well as I would have had I been a resident of them for a year or more.

How about you? Where have you traveled?

@giujohn,
Yea. There's one. Culture in general.

Do you think I'm "logic impaired" or "cuckoo" for this post?

Why are they labeling it that?

They should call it "sense?"

@Butrflynet,
I group that all in "European."

I group the whole world into 12 ethnicities.

There are probably 1,000,000 African tribes. I don't plan to see every one. I'll just say "African."

Plus, a lot of those are just "Germanic" anyway.

I can look at myself and see a white person.

@farmerjohn1324,
You have to undersatnd. In here, if they dont have a thoughtful response it is sport to attack the poster/subject.

@farmerjohn1324,
That doesn't tell me what countries you have actually visited.

The only thing you said was how you pigeon hole people into certain categories and that you can look at yourself and see a white person.

By the way, Canada, Mexico and Aruba are not in Europe.

People who subscribe to any form of religion have essentially given up all control over their lives, in that they acknowledge that the only real control flows from a supernatural boogyman. Then, having done so they (because of an inate human tendancy which they must supress) seek to control others lives to regain some sembalance of control. Of course, these other people must be subjugated and labled as inferior to justify that domination.

@hawkeye10,
Well... whatever... but he was certainly interested in spreading Greek culture.

I didn't know him personally.

I do know that he didn't have any children. Did you know that (tangent!!!)?

And as far as the first part of the question... why do I ask questions that I already know the answer to?
