@Patches,
Are you aware there are mental illnesses where people see and hear things ?

@FBM,
All of those contradictions can be explained by a non-personal God . In short, we are on our own, he (she?) doesnt give a rats arse what happens to us in this world . Of course it can also be explained by a complete absence of any God .

@Ionus,
I prayed to Jesus and was miraculously cured of hepatitis C. At the time it was an incurable disease. Today there is not even a trace that I ever had it.

So where is the line drawn between a psychotic and a religious psychotic ?

I can believe that . How do you know the difference between the bodies own remarkable ability to heal itself if you truly believe it can and an act of God ?

@Ionus,
I have yet to talk to a medical doctor about this, but I believe that if hepatitis C is anything like hepatitis B, there would be a trace in my blood that I once had it. Today, there is no trace in my blood of ever even having hepatitis C. I'll talk to my doctor about this and get back with you.

@Ionus,
Do even know whether psychiatry is telling the truth? Perhaps, these people really are hearing and seeing things. It was once believed to be the devils that drove people mad. And in some countries, this is still believed.
