Click Aimee Semple McPherson for an interesting read
on a star of the 1920's faith-based show business.

@TheCobbler,
Of course they didn't trek. They swim pretty good though.

Only real mystery is how Noah shoveled all that animal ****. Maybe they were all potty trained.

Dear Santa,

Please see that every racist voter in the US who is dreaming of a "White Christmas" gets a black one instead. One that says, "Merry Christmas" in every language but English.

Jesus.

Trump voters sing Christmas carols:

"Deck the halls with racists and rapists fa la la la la la..."

Dear God,

This has been incredibly educational and sometimes even fun. You have taught me things I could not have imagined, gotten me out of more jams than I can even remember and kept me sane when I thought I could no longer hold it together. Thank you for all of it.

Now please let me the **** out of this place. I long to go home.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

@farmerman,
Funny you should ask. I was at my lowest point in life back in 2014 and felt like there was nothing to look forward to. I said a prayer telling God how I felt and asking for something to look forward to while running out the clock here. Not five minutes later I opened my internet browser and saw the news release from Polaris announcing the Slingshot.

It's a miracle I tell ya!

As soon as I'm out of here, it's yours. Send contact info and I'll put it in my will. If you're lucky, I won't be in the Slingshot when I go.

@Leadfoot,
My advice is to look at the beauty that surrounds you and learn to love and appreciate this world before you desire the next world.

@TheCobbler,
Oh, I did, I did. Been there, done that, will do it a bit more before I go. But even as wonderful as it is, it gets old. I'm ready for the next.

Just curious. How old are you Cobbler?

@Leadfoot,
I am 53 years old, I didn't age much and also find that love and appreciation for this world is what makes life worthwhile.

You've got awhile yet.

It is different for everyone. In this respect, I aged a little faster than most. I started getting bored with it all at about 62. Or maybe I was just lucky to be able to do, see, experience everything I wanted by then. It was great, retired at 45 so I had plenty of free time, nature, beautiful women, cars, houses, airplanes, no worries about money, success in all my endeavors, good health - the ******* works.

Still enjoying a bit, but really I'm just running out the clock. If that's all there is - send in the clowns.

Edit: I hope that didn't come off as a condescending old guy telling the young they don't know anything. I hate that

@Leadfoot,
Nah. I like straight forward talk. It turns off some people, but I find as I get older, telling it like it is is reality. Can't be anything wrong with that.

@cicerone imposter,
They say that ll life is enjoyable with some clear goals in your head and some tasks to accomplish them. We are happiest when busiest.

@TheCobbler,
If theres a way you can help, it matters to everyone, including you.

I am often in the company of boating people who have NEVER WORKED A DAY IN THEIR LIFE.
They usually have nothing worth hearing about because they seem to dwell only on how the world revolves around them and their own experiences.

Im sure Leadfoot doesnt see himself as one of them.

@farmerman,
I really enjoyed working when I worked, but I did retire early, and have enjoyed my retirement - going on 18 years now. I like the freedom, and try to walk every day for at least 30 minutes.
