What does religion offer the world today?

It offers a way out of loving your neighbor (because your neighbor does not attend your church)

It offers a way to doubt well documented scientific proofs (because the Bible narrative differs from scientific evidence)

It offers a way to start unholy wars (because supposedly some "God" told you to do it)

It offers a fake feeling of security (so you can boast of your heavenly future)

It absolves you from your duty to society, the world and the earth. (So you can close your eyes and pray instead)

It gives men a false narrative about their existence (because according to most religion, sin is the fault of women)

It replaces true human achievement with a fear of hell. (The pious become puppets of fear rather than fountains of free and human centered charity)

It talks of rule of law (while it supplies laws that are barbaric)

It talks of Gods love (which is rooted in jealousy, spite and lots of self aggrandizement)

etc, etc, etc....

The Bible talks of charity then negates it with talk of condoned slavery and blind deistic submission. Should we really accept what religion has to offer the world today? It seems there is nothing "good" that comes out of it.

I am waiting to hear even one good virtue that religion has to offer.

According to the homophobe story of Sodom and Gomorra, the two mythical cities were not spared for the Bible claimed they had no "righteousness"... Does the Bible have any righteousness, should it be spared?
