@gumpy01,
I actually don't know, sorry: it was another member of the team who found it. But think duo and the previous clue of Cornwall.
@gardengnome,
Thanks for the clues. I'm still floundering in the dark with this one but will keep at it.
Am having trouble with Q8 as I can only find a one word answer for the poem. Although it could be part of RR. Am I on the right track please?
@poiuy,
The answer is in the Question! 1899 RR poem.
@sophocles,
Thank you Sophocles making life difficult for myself.
May I ask for a hint for 24, 25, thank you
@poiuy,
See previous hint: For 25 try SPINODATE and FRACIA
@gardengnome,
I thought I had the answer to 38 but now I've heard the queryline??!! Is it possible? Ditto misunderstanding! Anyone cracked it & willing to nudge?
@Ramires7,
As mentioned before think inches. I've still got 7 gaps- 24, 25, 33, 39, 40, 47 & 49. Oh dear!
@poiuy,
33. Nasty Cornish seafarers; 49. 'NOTSO'.
@Ramires7,
I had something different for 49 NAME. Ah well we will soon see.
@djmple,
Ramires gave a clue not the ANSWER.
@Ramires7,
Thank you everyone for your clues, much appreciated.
@poiuy,
Yes,I expect nearly everyone who enters will get 50 this month.
@Opsimath,
Probably but many will not win a prize which annoys me as I found out the answers without needing to seek the clues!
@Opsimath,
I wish!
A late attempt to finish the quiz before I post later. No chance of a full house due to lack of time.
I would appreciate a clue for #15 if anyone would be so kind.
Still plenty to do apart from this one.
@glos 10,
Look back through the postings and you should get it.
@Mudelta,
I must admit to being glad of a clue to 15 but some other clues on here have been less than subtle in fact they have been close to the actual answer.
Perhaps the forum should echo the quizzing.co.uk forum 'rules' in that clues/hints are only given in the last few days of the quiz rather than two weeks before the closing date (as occurred in this month's) and also to only ask for one/two rather than the 'I'm stuck on, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13,15, 17 etc., etc.' that sometimes occurs on this forum. Whilst some of the 'clues' are so obvious as to not be a clue, I'm still puzzled as to 'NOOST'! Perhaps the poster will put me out of my misery once the deadline for posting answers has passed.
