So? What do you think is the actual calendar divide between Gen Xers and millennial? What has or will the present generation being called?

I would very much like to know where the actual divide is,
so that I can know whether I'm Gen-X or millenial.

They were calling millenials Gen Y for awhile.
Maybe they'll go back to that system and call the next generation "Z".

I wish they'd stop changing the definitions. I wasn't impressed when I suddenly became a boomer after years of making fun of my slightly older friends for having that as their sobriquet.

I could have sworn that Gen Y was the one between Gen-X and the Millennials but I was informed last weekend when the discussion came up during dinner that one person believed Gen Y was never officially recognized academically and politically.

Myself? I was born in 1971. That makes me a no holds bar Gen-Xer.

If you want to throw the dinner chatters off, ask them what group was originally called Generation X.
