Strange that a public University that take public funds think that it can punished speak that it does not care for no matter how non-PC it happen to be.

Also I never hear of a right to order someone out of their dwelling with three days notice.

No I do not approved of the racist comments but I disapproved far more with a public university taking the position that they can punish students for saying anything they do not approved of.

@BillRM,
From what I have read/heard, this can be tended to by not regarding as a first amendment speech issue, instead taking it to a level of discrimination which is something which would hold water. The persons on the video said they'd never allow certain persons in. If they had kept quiet, people could have held a presumption that they were discriminating, but would have had to work at finding solid proof.

Good to see them booted out of the frat and the quarters they were staying in. As to the continuance or lack thereof, in their educationing at OU, that's a matter which clearly they have to address. Not sure what their policies are, there may be something written which all students are to abide by, which prohibits any form of discrimination.

@Sturgis,
Sorry a public university no matter what is policies are can not punished it students for expressing ideas by singing a song on a bus in private that they do not care for.

Now they are free not to have a fraternity on campus even those I question their rights to order anyone out of a building within three days.

The University had just expelled two students by the news reports over this matter and it look like the University in setting itself up for one hell of a lawsuit.

My bet is that a lawyer will shortly be going into federal court to get an injunction as a first step.
