A simple blues tune from Homesick. He doen't make any attempt to have his stanzas rhyme. He don't care. He's saying what he wants to say.

@neko nomad,
That tune with the Jimmy Yancy riff made me think of this classic, with Jimmy on Piano.

@layman,
“Say man, there’s a woman who can sing some rock and roll.” I mean, she’s singing religious music, but she is singing rock and roll. She’s ... shakin’ man ... She jumps it. She’s hitting that guitar, playing that guitar, and she is singing. I said, “Whoooo. Sister Rosetta Tharpe.”
—Jerry Lee Lewis

The original rockers, such as Elvis, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, and Johnny Cash have all acknowledged that Sister Rosetta had a strong influence on them. Maybe it's more appropriate to say that SHE was the "original rocker." Here's another tune:

Oh I can't get enough of it! It's got so much soul in it.
Been listenin' to REALLY old stuff lately.
Arthur Big Boy Crudup ( You Got To Reap ),
& Lightnin' Hopkins ( My Starter Won't Start This Morning)
as examples.
I guess I just love the comedic in that old black man stompin' a foot BLUES.
(Music is great, Humor is great. Mix em together: OH YEA!!)

As for recent stuff, I got a lot of respect for Samantha Fish
And I'm sure it has nothin' to do with her short skirt,
(but that don't hurt the show none).
No, really, she does the old black man blues thing really well.
Sometimes she even plays a guitar made from an old gasoline can. It's pretty cool.
You can check her out on youtube. LOTS of footage of her playing shows there.
The older stuff (2012, 2013) is more bluesy. Sometimes she breaks off into rock.
That's good too. She's a great guitar player. But then she started going country in 2015.
( Sad Mr PantsFellDown doesn't like country very much O_o )
But I still respect her short skirt. Uh.. I mean her playin'. Of course.

@TomTomBinks,
When I visited Chicago many years ago, me, JPB and joefromchicago went to a blues club. The music was similar to this one, and I really enjoyed it.

I really like this one.

A typical Browny and Sonny tune, eh?:

Walked down to the station....
Looked up on the wall...
My money too light....
Couldn't go no where at all...
I'm a poor man, but a good man....
Been treated wrong.
