Bikers are booing Trump too...

Trump lost the popular vote and is less popular now including the republican brand which he has taken down with him.

Kasich can eat a big box of d... er... donuts. It’s so tiresome hearing him and guys like Jeff Flake making faux brave noises from the sidelines.

@snood,
I have to agree Snood.

Kasich had a chance as governor to make some meaningful change and blew it.

I am not big fan of Kasich but the veneer is cracking and soon I expect the entire republican support for Trump to implode...

Trump is his own worst enemy, he needs to tweet about that.

Most American citizens and a large number of democrats are aware that the IRS and the republican party are complicit in a tax evasion scheme for the rich in our country.

Fair share in the duty of paying taxes is also enshrined within our US Constitution. Every person corporate or otherwise paying a reasonable and fair share of taxes is just as fundamental as the right to bear arms...

Taxes need to be regulated just as firearms so that the common wealth is kept secure.

The Constitution gives Congress the power to levy taxes for the collection of revenue. Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution reads, "The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States."

Congress should not have the power to wage warfare with the tax code on the middle class.

@TheCobbler,
So now you're implicating the IRS as part of the "Deep State" nonsense? What's up with that?

@neptuneblue,
Why hasn't Trump been audited by the IRS? Why are they hiding his tax returns? Corporate and civil laws have clearly been broken here.

It is common knowledge Trump has used his businesses to launder money for the Russians.

Is the IRS the only government entity in the US that does not know this fact?

The IRS used to have integrity, it seems to have eroded away along with the morality of the republican party.

To escape justice all Al Capone needed to do was become president? This is ridiculous and does the rule of law in our country a great disservice.

@TheCobbler,
Ok, it's no secret I'm not a Trump fan, but this is totally so so so out there.

The IRS isn't "hiding" his taxes, pal. The IRS has privacy laws it adheres to. If a citizen wants to voluntarily release his tax forms, that's fine. The IRS will need a court order to release financials on any body. In which case the SDNY has their judgement to have the IRS release Trump's tax forms to THEM, not the general public. If there is any wrongdoing, they will bring up charges.

Don't be so quick to think all of our government is corrupt like Trump.

@neptuneblue,
The IRS can be bought just like our republican senators and our republican judges on the supreme court.

Your idelic world of fantasy would be nice if it was actually a reality...

I am sure a lot of fine people work at the IRS just like there are a few who Kavanaughs who would sell out an audit here and there for a pint of beer and a large envelope of cash or perhaps a high appointment in Trump's cabinet of crooked derelicts.

And how many leaks of Trump's tax returns have you seen?

10?

50?

That's right -- NONE.

For starters there was Trump University and his bogus charities...

Would this in a rational person's mind not flag and audit?

It is you who are defending a corrupt system.

You have lost it.

Appeals court deals blow to Trump in tax return case
CNN Digital Expansion 2017 Kara Scannell
By Kara Scannell, CNN

Updated 1:39 PM ET, Mon November 4, 2019

A three-judge panel for the Second Circuit Court of Appeals said "presidential immunity does not bar a state grand jury from issuing a subpoena in aid of its investigation of potential crimes committed by persons within its jurisdiction, even if that investigation may in some way implicate the president."

The court also noted that "the only question before us is whether a state may lawfully demand production by a third party of the President's personal financial records for use in a grand jury investigation while the President is in office." The judges added that "we hold that any presidential immunity from state criminal process does not bar the enforcement of a subpoena."

Trump sued the Manhattan District Attorney's office to block a subpoena it sent to his long time accounting firm Mazars USA seeking eight years of tax returns. Attorneys for Trump argued a President is immune from criminal investigations, a claim the district judge dismissed. Trump then appealed that decision.

The appeals court ruling gives a green light, in theory, for investigators to obtain the President's tax returns, but Trump's attorney Jay Sekulow said the President will continue his appeal.

"The decision of the Second Circuit will be taken to the Supreme Court," Sekulow said in a statement. "The issue raised in this case goes to the heart of our Republic. The constitutional issues are significant."

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance's office declined to comment Monday.

The appeals court ruling affirmed the decisions by US District Judge Victor Marrero who dismissed Trump's "extraordinary" claim that any occupant of the White House enjoys "absolute immunity from criminal process of any kind." Marrero said in a 75-page opinion that such a position "would constitute an overreach of executive power."

The judge described Trump's assertion of immunity as "repugnant to the nation's governmental structure and constitutional values."

Trump has broken previous presidential precedent by refusing to release his tax returns.

@neptuneblue,
What you overlook is the fact that all these organization's, FBI, tax, and most of the organizations that are supposed to protect all the citizens have been usurped by a crook who is another Capon who has appointed other crooks to protect his crooked ass. He has indeed laundered money for Russian crime families in his casino's which is why new York state is trying to investigate his crooked ass. But his appointed crooks in the executive are trying to claim for him the royal right to not be investigated or charged with any crimes at all because he is prescient. When did president equal king? We are headed for a dictatorship that will be one of the worst in the world. Right now its the people south of the border this crook is screwing with because a good portion of the population is frightened of immigrants but if he is reelected when will he declare poles, Italians, Irish and others persons non Grata. After that he can declare his daughter a royal princess and his son the next king. Impossible you say. They said the same thing about hitler, Stalin, and putin. You think a crazy bastard like trump isent think in these terms thin you arnt paying enough attention to your screwed up government.

@RABEL222,
I'll tell you what I'm NOT going to do.

Is to fall into a victim's paradise thinking our government is so corrupt to the core that believing in it doesn't make sense. Trump is corrupt, he's made accomplices to do his dirty work, NOT the entire government.

The IRS has issues but Deep State conspiracy theories are plain nonsense.
