@TheCobbler,
Nonsense. Leftist childishness is a reflection on leftists, not on the people that they childishly exclude from their private events.

Kind of funny — this member characterizes George H.W. Bush, John McCain, and the Royal Family as childish "leftists"!

Pelosi, Schumer Joint Statement On Attorney General Barr’s Summary Of The Mueller Report
MARCH 24, 2019

Washington, D.C. – Today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer released the following statement regarding Attorney General Barr’s summary of the Mueller report:

“Attorney General Barr’s letter raises as many questions as it answers. The fact that Special Counsel Mueller’s report does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further delay. Given Mr. Barr’s public record of bias against the Special Counsel’s inquiry, he is not a neutral observer and is not in a position to make objective determinations about the report.

“And most obviously, for the president to say he is completely exonerated directly contradicts the words of Mr. Mueller and is not to be taken with any degree of credibility.

“Congress requires the full report and the underlying documents so that the Committees can proceed with their independent work, including oversight and legislating to address any issues the Mueller report may raise. The American people have a right to know.”

Considering parts of the criminal Deep State are still entrenched in the Trump administration, there is no doubt.

@hingehead,
That's interesting considering most of Obama's "National Emergencies" are still on going and Obama played plenty of golf while he was President. Obama played over 300 games of golf while in office, averaging 30+ games per year.

@Baldimo,
Hey thanks for this - it made me do some research to see if you were right.

You are and you aren't.

Trump plays more golf
https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2017/oct/10/who-plays-more-golf-donald-trump-or-barack-obama/

But almost all presidential 'emergencies' are about property and entry of human rights abusers and criminal organisations. So the original tweeter is being disengenuous.

So this is some sort executive method of getting **** done without going through Congress?

Until Trump declares the wall with Mexico an emergency this is pretty much business as usual.

@hingehead,

If you think about it, Trump should be playing more golf, he own's a bunch of golf courses, so it makes sense. I honestly don't care how much golf they play or when, if they are playing golf they aren't "doing things" for the country.

I've always noticed that most of the "emergencies" don't actually have anything to do with the American people or our internal emergencies, it's like you said emergencies outside of the US. A vast majority of those 31 "emergencies" could be ended.

It can indeed be used that way. I honestly don't think Trump is doing it as a ploy, I agree with him, there is indeed an emergency on the southern border and Congress is doing nothing about it.

He has already declared it an emergency, the House and Senate voted against it, and Trump vetoed their bill. At this point there are court cases going through the system, it will end up with the SCOTUS and all they will do is rule if the Trump has the right to declare the emergency. I'm not sure if they rule on the emergency itself.
