Harley Davidson is selling a macho image based on a 1300+ cc motorcycle which runs about like everybody elses 350s. Their 45-degree long stroke engine was a bad design for an ingine in the 1020s and they haven't improved it since then. This (Motoguzzi Stone) is what a reasonable V-twin motorcycle looks like:
Short stroke 90 degree V, glassy smooth, strong, light, reliable, everything which a Harley isn't.
