Wow, now I'm craving a big Kosher Dill pickle. I can still find the great ones in barrels at the market but I can't find those large pickled white onions, they seem to have disappeared from the markets. I should head in to Baltimore and check the Lexington market, if they are anywhere, they should be there.

We call it a hot dog where we live, and Costco has a hotdog and soft drink for $1.50. My wife and I enjoyed one today after we dropped off our son at the San Jose airport.
Unfortunately, they were out of onion and relish. I told the worker, but she just ignored me.

I favor the Kosher dogs with brown mustard, chopped onions and either sweet or dill relish. I don't like cheese or chili on my dog, but occasionally a nice dollop of saurkraut, ahhhhhhh.

We really have some sort of cognitive dissonance going on in our love affair with hot dogs. We call them "wieners", which comes from the German Wien, which means from Vienna, at the same time we call them frankfurters, which means from Frankfurt, which is 500 or so miles from Vienna. No, no until we get their geography straight, I;m just gonna stick with kielbasa.

Not that I know of, but it does sound a bit like the shortened form of a sex toy.

The only time I've heard the word proper is in this song which was old when I was a kid.

You're right though we do attract a right bunch of muppets.
