Nestlé owned 100% of Alcon in 1978. In 2002 Nestlé sold 23.2% of its Alcon shares on the New York Stock Exchange. In 2008 Nestlé sold 24.8% of its Alcon shares to the Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis. In 2010 Nestlé sold the remaining 52% of its Alcon shares to Novartis. Novartis paid a total of 39.1 bn USD.

I can honestly say I have not bought anything on that list in nearly 10 years except a couple Butterfingers... rarely Stouffers and only a few hot pockets.

I do know that Nestle also does some research into Alzheimer's disease.

Too bad their capitalistic greed seems to outweigh rudimentary common sense liberty.

I bet they pay no taxes too, but their shipping trucks and boats traverse our roads and seas and their factories contribute to a lion share of global warming.

Thanks for the list Bob. I cannot support them.

If clean drinking water is not a basic human right then Nestle should be the first to be deprived of it.
