@JeannethCupas,
Business has become more complex, so is the human resources function, which will encompass everything--- from assessing staffing needs more strategically to launching effective training initiatives, interpreting labor codes, and implementing policies and benefits that safeguard workers while protecting company interests. Management and HR personnel directly focus on the means that will affect the welfare and morale of the organization's most important asset: its employees. You see, as I tried to browse and read with all this post’s replies, only one thing centered in my understanding—the employees. And how people perceived the importance of employees is an earth-shattering facet that every company should look forward to. How is that so?

@JeannethCupas,
Every company, regardless of its size, must deal with HR issues in a way that best suited to its needs and situation. If you have a small-scale business, you yourself would function as an HR. You’ll do the entire recruitment and selection process. You set your compensation package as well as the one responsible for training the people being hired. You could also settle things out as quickly as possible if you handle your manpower firsthand and you probably make a point to keep them in the loop. However, you should also ensure that you yourself are a solid generalist—that is you possess the skills of the several areas of the human resources function rather than one particular specialty. If not, it would surely detriment your business. As what the previous replies emphasized, employees are your company’s best asset.

@JeannethCupas,
HR practitioner should also try to consider the corporate social responsibility which has been neglected by some. HR function does not end with the hiring and firing employees. It is important to note that employee engagement is not simply the mandate of HR, it’s beyond that. Although HR could facilitate the development of processes and systems, employee engagement is definitely a shared responsibility. I am completely amazed with how people perceived HR but they should go deep. They shouldn't set aside the importance of CSR towards attaining organization’s objectives that would be integrated all throughout the business operations. It’s not all about codes and etc. There must be something beyond the functions of HR. An HR could absolutely influence and foster a CSR ethic, thus achieving a high performance CSR culture.

@JeannethCupas,
In order to have a positive regard with how human resources function are being perceived, it should also be managed first. Manage a human resources department by assigning specific functions to the members of your team and promoting a professional and supportive environment. There is a need to put together a solid team. Human Resources Department directly focus on people. In other words, solid collaboration must begin first within the team. They should serve as models to the other departments and in order for the company to achieve its strategic objectives. Another is, there should also be a proper communication with regards to their responsibilities and how to achieve expectations. You should also maintain an open door policy for management and staff. Lastly, your department must be an example by strictly following the company's policies and procedures. With that, the rest will surely come into place and the HR would be able to strengthen relationships in the entire organization. Thus, bearing a positive review.

@RazVerine,
But even if how much you desire you department to be a perfect foundation or example from that of the other departments, there are still those who don't give a damn. FULL COOPERATION is of essence Mister. Besides, some of the employees only work for the company for the sake of salary. Am i right?
