Hi English teachers,
may I ask if my following sentences are acceptable? Many thanks in advance.
I am interested in the position. Please contact me if and when I am shortlisted.

The phrase "if and when" is used when a situation is possible, but not considered likely. To use it would convey entirely the wrong message. Just use "If". In fact, the whole sentence is pointless, since if an applicant for a position is shortlisted, that person will surely be contacted.
