Quote:
....The liberal media are going into panic mode attempting to salvage their precious global warming crisis as yet another record cold winter takes shape across the country. Desperately hoping to purge the public’s memory of failed predictions of warm, snowless winters, the media are now going into overdrive trying to claim global warming theory predicted colder and snowier winters all along.

The shameless effort to spin this year’s cold, early winter as the predicted result of global warming is typified by a media request sent out by International Business Times journalist Connor Sheets. On November 19 Sheets sent out the following solicitation:

“I’m working on a story that would help explain why climate change not only contributes to global warming but also the extreme weather events we are seeing already this November. I’d like to look at how the greenhouse effect plays into this, why global warming doesn’t preclude super-cold and snowy winters, and more. Beyond that, I would like to look at the polar vortex and its impacts. El Nino if it applies, lake effect snow and other weather and climate trends and dynamics that play into this discussion.”......

@gungasnake,
It iis true that, because polar ice melts in larger volumes, it affects the circumpolar "conveyor" and subdues streams like the Japanese Current and the Gulf Stream. This allows these Polar air masses to mix with temperate cyclonic events and return as stronger blasts of winter weather . While last year was the warmest year on the planet (from all years ever recorded by humans), we still saw these rotating circumpolar blasts dip seeper outh than in the past.
SCience has predicted that, with a sharpening climate change to the warm, a quick switch -over to a "little Ice Age" is quite possible. SO in reality, as Penn State has been saying all along ,,--" Global Warming Leads to Global Cooling" .

ALL PHENOMS ARE INTERCONNECTED .

I think ALL science admits the climate is changing, what the argument is, is whether human activity accounts for it.

"Gungsterism" is where you deny everything

We're in the beginning of a second little ice age. Almost as if God were trying to make demoKKKrats look stupid...

@gungasnake,
Apparently hes already succeeded with the other party. I think that both sides have politicized this so much that neither has much credibility.

Man, it's all political polemic for Gunga Dim, there. Many climatologists believe that the climate had warmed so much by ten or nine thousand years ago that the Arctic Ocean was ice-free in summer--there is even a minority who think it was ice-free year round. This was succeeded by climactic cooling events--the 8.2 kiloyear event, the 5.9 kiloyear event and the 4.2 kiloyear event. Although climatologists may not like to admit it, theirs is a discipline in its infancy. Those three cooling events were only recognized within the last ten or twenty years.

@gungasnake,
Unfortunately Ganja, climate doesn't seem to recognize national borders--and the world of Ganjaland is only a small part of the globe.
