Officials: Chalabi Gave Secrets to Iran
WASHINGTON (AP) - The FBI is investigating who in the U.S. government leaked information to former Iraqi exile Ahmad Chalabi that made its way into the hands of the Iranian government, potentially damaging American efforts to monitor Tehran's activities, government officials said Wednesday. The officials, who would speak only on condition of anonymity because the information remained classified, said the U.S. government has evidence that Chalabi or his followers told Iran that Washington had cracked some of it secret codes for transmitting sensitive information
In world war two the slogan was loose lips sink ships. It would seem that is a lesson yet to be learned by people in government. The question of more import who passed the information to Chalabi? I would tend to believe that is a criminal offense. And the leaker should be prosecuted
Indeed. At the same time, isn't Chalabi a piece of work? The man must have been playing more angles than a billiards professional. Too clever by half, it would appear...
Certainly too clever for that group of dullards now "leading us"
