Have you been experiencing drought in Canada over the past few years?

not a full blown drought like i think you guys are experiencing, but some areas of the country are getting much les than average rainfall, the water levels in the great lakes have been down, but the last few winters snows and this springs rain have helped, in my area we came within 10ml of breaking a 61 year record for rainfall in may (1943 191 ml/2004 181 ml)

Well, technically it's still spring until the 20th or 21st of June, msolga.
But it's been quite cool the last couple of Mays and early Junes.

Tonight, to walk the dogs, I had on a short sleeved t-shirt, a long-sleeved t-shirt, a polar fleece pop-over top, and long pants. I didn't overheat even though we were walking at a considerable pace.

Where wayfarer lives is south of us, and her temps almost went down to freezing overnight last night. Friday night here it was down to 4 celsius.

Oh, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Shocked But the dogs must be walked, yes? I'm curious, do they wear a few extra layers in this sort of weather, too?
Speaking of walking, I'd better get off this addictive computer & walk while the sun's shining! Very Happy

Bloody raining! Soon as you start talking about Melbourne weather.......

On about the only morning that it's rained this year, I booked my car in for service, with a long walk to the coalface.

It's stopped raining now, and the sky is blue again! That hour of rain won't do anything to ease the drought!

It was 100F here yesterday and muggy as hell. It was so bad I couldn't even work in my garden :-(

It was much cooler with no humidity at all today :-)

Good day to just hold on tight to something solid.

Quote:
A WILLY-WILLY has terrorised suburban streets, uprooting trees, peeling off roof tiles and causing windows to explode.

The two-minute storm weaved a 200m-wide, 2.5km-long path of damage through the Noble Park North area [in Melbourne] about 9pm on Wednesday.
.......

Chris Earl said he heard "a massive whirlwind coming through", followed by an explosion.

"The wind was so fast, everything was fuzzy," Mr Earl said.

He soon discovered his pergola had been ripped from its fixtures.

A section of fence had also speared through the air, landing next to the window he had been sitting by.

Ah Melbourne, when you can't make it to Fiji in the cyclone season!

Wow! Mr Still, now I know I shouldn't complain!

Olga
You're right. It wasn'y a good day for gardening, but it was just one day and now I have plenty of time to finish up before the heat starts up for the summer :-D

My son said he'd help me today, so that'll help a lot as well ;-)
