Hello Montana!

Max of 13C during the day today, but colder now, at night ... but it's the relentless wind & total lack of sun that makes it so unpleasant outside. It feels very unfriendly out there.

I hear ya girlfriend. It's still colder here than it is on your end and at this time of year it's usually cloudy or raining, which makes it tough for gardening. The weather in my area is the hardest to predict around here from what they tell me and that gets pretty frustrating. I check the weather on average 4 times a day when I start gardening and I get 4 different forcasts. Grrrrrrrrr!!!

I guess it's all relative, Montana. Like, some years ago I was on a study tour in India. We Aussies thought the weather was wonderful & warm & were wondering around in our summer clothes. But our Indian hosts were freezing, wearing parkas & shivering.

Hey, this is my 5000th posting!!! I just realized.

Madam Olga, if I may.

Winter is fantastic. Sub zero temperatures, fireplace, great company (a beauty queen, but no such luck here!), good old brandy and y'know......music.....some nice chats.....relax.....!

Don't get me started ;-)

Non! But have experienced very cold and chilly nights as well as desert warm sticky days.
Prefer the former provided if I have good company. I love to talk, chat, share.....one thing leading to another. Its THE fun, Madam Olga :-)

Yep, today is the first day of the summer season. And it's FRIGGIN cold!!! I could see my breath in the air this evening! It's 10C outside right now and it wasn't much warmer at midday. Our summer is colder than your winter! Ah, yes, it was heavy grey skies and sprinkles all day.

Have you been experiencing drought in Canada over the past few years?

Mr Stillwater

You're not complaining, are you?

I grew up in Wisconsin and have recently moved way south.

Now, approaching my second summer in Alabama, I have terms for certain phenomena that one can only come to understand, and only hope to come to terms with, in the most intense humidity.

Sweat back: for some reason, lower back sweat is completely unrelenting.

Swamp ass: some of these terms explain themselves.

Niagra balls: like this one for example

Feel free to add your own to this list.

Hey, everyone; if you had to choose between living (and working) in 45oC scorching temperatures every day, or in sub-zeros, which would you choose?
