Just a thought -
The terrorists may win the war if they can keep our military hardware engaged evermore overseas, our troops stretched to the max. Could be we will go bankrupt after the way of the Soviets. Wouldn't it be better to send more specialized agents and weaponry out in targeted actions than to blow it all at once the way Bush appears to be doing?
I think it would be better to engage in constructive dialogue and diplomacy.
Like assasins and hit squads? In some circumstances, I would agree. Yet, what is desirable is not always feasable. In any case, control and accountablity could be a problem. Would be, if we can believe half the stories from South and Central America.

Hey Rick. I'm sure that means something very special to someone.
If I did my math correctly, based on the following website, the US military budget (largest in world) is as large as the next 26 countries' military budgets combined. Was the Roman Empire at its height this militarily dominant?

Ehh... actually I was referring to my Science teacher (or: ex-Science teacher) how he would describe the resemblence between the US and the Soviet-Union. But I realize that even for Dutch people, my "pannenkoeken en peren" is hard to understand.
