Resolving to see Elinor one last time before giving up on her, Scout began to gnaw on the houseslipper to build up his courage...but alas, it just wasn't as comforting a habit when he was in human/gorilla form.

What was wrong with his hand, Shewolf? Smile
Sorry! That's not part of the story, which has developed quite nicely, I might add! I haven't had time to read the whole thing yet. After I have, I'll see if I can add to it... or end it. Nice job!

Elinor looked down from her bedroom window and saw Scout in the gorilla costume, minus the head, pitifully chewing on a red houseslipper, and her heart went out to him.

Quickly coming to her senses however and realising that he was seriously deranged, she went and fetched the bucket of cold water she always kept by her bedside, and with unerring aim, threw it all over him.

Scout , completely oblivious to anything but getting to her door , screamed when the ice cold water soaked his suit , causing him to drop his now favorite shoe in the rain gutter.

There was something so exciting about her, Scout thought, marveling at how perfectly matched he, a masochistic werewolf, and Elinor, with her multiple personality disorder, were.

Elinor made a bolt for the door, earlier. This enabled her to close it more securely against forced entry.

Elinor's yellow eyes caught her reflection in a mirror next to the door and, with a start, she realized that she had wasted a whole $65 on a facial that morning...she had forgotten it was "that time of the month," and a full moon was shining through the open window.

Unconciously, she raised her pointed nose toward the moon and let out a howl of grief.
