Everyone here seems to eat so sensibly & cook so well! ... But I'm sure we all have OFF DAYS when we eat the wrong stuff, because we're feeling lazy, a wee bit neurotic, crave the bad stuff, or because we're tired of being so damned sensible all the time!

So what did you eat on one of these off days?
And how does it make you feel?

Lol! Last Sunday, I had hazelnut chocolate (Swiss!) and croissants for breakfast.

Then - some yoghurt for sort of a late lunch.

Then - ummmmmmm - bread and tomatoes and basil and freshly ground black pepper for dinner.

With butter.

NONE of which I normally eat - oh, I normally eat tomatoes!

Quite a bit of variety there, Deb. Breakfast sounded like fun! Very Happy

For some strange reason I couldn't stop eating bread rolls & blue vein cheese yesterday ... I mean all day! The fridge was full of all sorts of promising stuff, but no, this was what I craved. It was very nice till about the 4th roll ...

does it count for "meal you'd rather keep secret" when you are eating ice-cream and not paying too much attention to it and from all spots on planet bird dropping hits exactly top of your ice-cream and you decide at this moment to take a huge lick?
yeah, yeah, it really happened Smile

hey, I'm Mediterranean, you don't have to ask me that Smile Every pasta is great, as well as every fish, and olive oil, and...well...this is topic for things we are not proud eating, so I better stop with things I'm proud of eating Smile

So, anyone else tried bird droppings? Don't worry people, no taste, no smell, you haven't missed anything Very Happy

Portuguese buns - papo secco (or something like that), with unsalted butter and bland portuguese cheese - queso bianco (or something to that effect). The ultimate comfort food. I'm glad I've often worked with people of Portuguese descent who turned me onto their comfort foods. Their custard tarts are THE very best. Ever.

Ricotta cheese, natural peanut butter and a dollop of sour cream for breakfast. Lately, I have had this thing for peanut butter!
