Travellers is what I wish we were more of! I love to live vicariously through all of you world travellers. Alas, I have no cash!

Cash is a horrid necessity, and the trick to it is having some. However there are many lovely things that are free, such as sunshine and flowers.

Flowers are good, especially this time of year. Even the trees are full of foliage!

Foliage is all I can see from this window. I've just ordered a lovely new computer desk made of glass so I can look at the view even more uninterrupted.

Uninterrupted time anywhere doing anything would be wonderful! The desk sounds lovely!

(BTW, How is Totnes?)

Lovely is what people think Totnes is, and I'm just grumbling because compared to say Birmingham or Alaska, it is lovely. However in the drizzle everything looks grey and dismal.

Dismal in the rain - isn't that the truth! It was a gorgeous day at the beach for us here until the rains came.

Came down from Glasgow yesterday, my brother's lot did, en route back to Enfield. Do you know Southgate? It's quite nice.

Nice it may be - but since I mixed Enfield up with Edgware I feel too embarrassed to show my face anywhere near it. McTag, I am forever in your debt.

Debt can always be restructured, Clary dear, think of Gordon Brown. Or better still, don't think of Gordon Brown. And thank you for an instructive trip through (most of) the Capital.

Embarrassed

Capital news today - Robert aka JB aka John-Bush, first encountered on A2K English threads posting from Nanking - whoops, Nanjing -, has finally got his visa for coming to our school next month for the teenage course! His English is already formidably good, and he seems to be 16 going on 35!

35 or fifty percent of threescore years and ten is quite a good age to be...not too young, not too old.
"Too old" is about ten years more than I am...and will henceforward remain so.

So think I! However, I wish I hadn't sunbathed topless.

Topless sunbathing? I hope you applied a good sunscreen with UV protection.

Protection is the one thing she forgot, 'fly! On other links she's mentioned 'feeling the burn'!

Burn! I got the worst burn when I went to Thailand. My friends and I were living under the whimpy sun of Japan at the time. We were so excited to be at a real beach that we stayed out from about 11am-4pm. We got so fried! We even used copious amounts of sunscreen, to no avail.

Availing ourselves of sunscreen is a good idea. I got burned this last week end on my back side because I forgot it!

It isn't very pleasant, is it? I'm glad I can smile about it now, but it was really horrible at the time. My friend had blisters so we had to call a doc to our hotel. Wait, that's getting a bit too graphic. I don't want to disturb anyone during their lunch break. It's 12:20 here.

Here it is now about 7pm, but earlier I noticed that I think we're possibly in the same time zone, Shazzer?
