Unfashionabilityness is a hard word to learn. Added it to my limited vocabulary.
Vocabulary such as this should not be learnt by foreigners. Use of such nonce words would convince average English speakers that the foreigner was not only unaware of the basic rules of English but also that he was a cheese-eating surrender monkey.
Monkeys dont bother about average. And some, in addition, dont bother about rules.
'Rules were made to be broken' could only be an anglosaxon axiom. And constitutions were only made by one Frog to be voted out by millions more.
More sage words from Clary. I sit at her feet in awe, and listen with rapt attention.
Attention noted, but as for awe - aw, shucks. Loch Awe must be pretty awe-inspiring.
Inspiring poets for centuries, the lochs of Scotland are a must see. And of course, there is always Nessie to consider.
Considering CLary's wisdom, I am ... and also, it would seem, talking like Yoda!
Yoda is only talking like a German, isn't he? I am pondering the import of being taken for a sage that is not the normal growing one that inspired my stage name (or should I say sage name?)
Names are only tags to identify more complex entities. Meanwhile, c'est en faisant des bĂȘtises que l'on est raisonable.
Raisonable? C'est quelquechose que je toujours am, mais je le spell avec deux n.
n'est-ce pas? Never use spellchecks and sometimes I type too fast.
Fast - so fast that half your face has already gone on to the next post. I wonder what interesting letters I will get in the next post?
Post SpellCheck is a wonderful feature. I wish that other people would use it more often.
Often I use it, perhaps not often enough!
Enough about spelling, this isn't the pet peeves of English thread! I wonder if there will be a plague of ladybirds this year?
Year after year we get a plague of greenfly, so more ladybirds would be most welcome. Could you send me a boxful? I believe they eat greenfly.
That's true... aphids... mites... all sorts... it was in my Biology exam two weeks ago hehe
Did you know that in radioactive tracer tests, it's common practice to dip an active aphid in liquid nitrogen and flick it's body off?! The head keeps on sucking and you can collect the radioactive sucrose out of the plant...
Plant a nasty idea in my head and the chances are it'll grow, or at least take root. Biology exams have always seemed to be full of arbitrary cruelty, e g to frogs.
eg to frogs is like coals to Newcastle. Un oef is un oef.
