Two cyclists it was. Well, we had admired, for the second time that day, the magnificent Duomo in Florence, and leaving the Piazza della Signoria behind we were walking past its multi-coloured marble magnificence to the rear, and there at the street crossroads behind the cathedral two men had stopped their bicycles and were shouting at each other and waving their arms in that Italian way. We did not see the incident which led to the altercation- I think one had cut in front of the other, not giving enough room to pass or something.
We watched at a respectful, half-embarrassed distance, and after a longish while, one gave a final dismissive gesture and cycled off. The other thought of something else to say, and shouted after him, wanting to prolong the argument, but that was the end of it.

Okay, going from "worm"-

Worm infestation can cause much discomfort in domestic pets. However, a trip to the vet and some pills can clear it all up quite quickly.

Quickly just isn't the word to describe how things are done in Thailand. The best word would probably be slowly.

Slowly does it, Clazza girl, take it easy. These boots were made for walkin', but for lying down in the shade you can't beat the old hammock.

Time waits for no man. But perhaps it'll wait for a woman.

"Woman, you get over here right now," he angrily slurred between gulps and puffs. She left the trailer and never looked back.

Back to an abuser, no woman should go. No matter how many promises such men make, they never really change.

Change is something essential in everyone's life. Who wants to remains stagnant?

stagnant ideas are torn apart at the hands of youth. As well, perhaps, as wisdom

Wisdom is worth far more than money. After all, a fool and his money are easily parted, so why gain to lose?

Wisdom teeth cause a lot of trouble for some people. Wisdom without teeth can't get anything accomplished.

accomplished deeds appear simpler in the memory. Unfinish tasks more difficult

(which reminds me, I still have an assignment due in a few hours)

Difficult tasks form the largest proportion of procrastinated items on a list of things to do. Maybe, because they are on a list, they become difficult.

Difficult jobs often bring the most satisfaction, once they are finished.

Finished tasks take more time, and seem to be need to be done again, and again. some things are never finished, have you had a job that can never be done?

Done is never a word I can use when it comes to cleaning my house. No matter how much I do, more is always waiting.

Waiting is one thing Quentin Crisp excelled in. As he famously once said, housecleaning is a waste of time because after about two years, the dirt and mess don't get any worse.
