Know that England could have done a lot better in The Game. It's the first time I've been genuinely interested in a football match.

Match Girl, The Little, a tale by Hans Christian Andersen. Danny Kaye sang about him, rather a long time ago. What a scintillating entertainer DK was, if rather old-fashioned for today's tastes.

I know that someone hears us! At least I believe that. So far no one has proven that to be wrong.

Wrong about Anne Brontë being as good as the other two, am I? I'll argue with you about that one..

One of these days I'll understand the links on this page. And one of these days I'll have a tidy office.

A tidy office is the sign of a sick mind! I may be organized but I refuse to be anal retentive!

Retentive memories, howver, are extremely useful, especially when doing exams. Of all the exam candidates in our household, we have heard the results of only one, a girlfriend, who did very well in her first year BSc biology.

Biology I disliked, when I was in school. I preferred chemical reactions and the like.

Like you, I preferred chemistry. But basically, I was not good at school science and only got interested in things like medicine and astronomy when I grew up.

Grew up? I refuse to grow up! I was abused as a kid and am now more "child-like" than I was then!

Then, in my twenties, I got married and went to India. I had three interesting and exciting years there.

Fun is what we're having here! (I would also love to visit India.) We're 'dog-sitting' for some friends...

Welcome, brimstone!

Friends are, in the end, more important than visiting temples or seeing breathtaking views. We made at least four lasting friends when we were in India, where we lived until 1976.

Fireworks are a little disturbing to me. I remember walking along Santa Monica Beach with my husband one July 4th evening, and I became frightened: it made me think of a war zone. Indeed, in the next day's paper there were reports of various injuries and one person was blinded.

<I just saw Drom, Drom is back, yeah! And welcome to A2k, Brimstone!>

Blinded by the brilliance of the lawyers, many people do not know whether the accused is guilty or not guilty. Perhaps only the judge is able to sort out the facts and present the case.

Blinded? How terrible! My son is frightened by fireworks as well. He thinks they're going to land on him! I just love them. I don't exactly know why.
Maybe it reminds me of the huge display on a New Years Eve when I went to Disney World as a kid. The fireworks display was massive!

Sentences should be commensurate with the infraction. I will repent, says she, who used three.
