There has been a deathly silence on the threads since you uttered those words. Aidan has not shown her face since, do you think she may be offended?

Offended by what? The explicit words of his first post, for which he'd already been admonished (by you) and which I found too general and stereotypical to merit futher comment- (how does Mathos or any other male know what a woman thinks or likes in that situation-although it was cleverly worded and I do admire Mathos ability to create word pictures within his writing); or do you think I might have been offended by the inane words of his second post, which again, I found too general and stereotypical to merit further comment?

*I had company yesterday- cleaned house and cooked all morning, entertained all evening and went to bed exhausted early. No offense taken (sorry to disappoint- as I know that's always the intent).

Intent is the planning and desire to perform an act, obviously you wanted to, but were prevented from appearing because of your commitments at home. As an officer and a gentleman I offer you my apologies for drawing the wrong conclusions.

(Welcome back Aidan, nice to see you Very Happy )

No need to apologize- I believe your intent is always well-meant Laughing

Conclusions can be quite paradoxical. They can be wrong and/or right, fulfilling and/or disappointing and somewhat misleadingly, despite what their label would indicate, (as in "coming to a conclusion"), that act in and of itself can lead to a beginning rather than an ending.

Dutchy! Me and Aidan have a record sheet on these threads! If I was going to really have a go at her, or her at me, we would use the PM system, it happens from time to time.

The bits you all read are for entertainment. Aidan can hold her corner make no mistake about her capabilities, and she is bloody good at it.

If her brain functioned 50% better she would be real handful.

Birthday aside, surely my friend doesn't deserve a heap of manure, he is the ace of the threads. Now be a nice lady and offer him your hand to kiss.

Knickers in American parlance, are trousers that cover the body from the waist to just below the knee where they end. They can be worn by either girls or boys, but in this day in age would be considered almost to be hopelessly old fashioned.

Mathos-do you not even attempt to remember what game you're playing at any given time?

Kiss my ass is another American colloquialism. Do you think every culture has its own version of that particular sentiment?

*Sorry Dutchy for all the pippping going on.

Like I said, if your brain functioned another 50% you'd be dangerous!

Are you frustrated Aidan?

Aidan is not playing with anyone who doesn't at least try to follow the rules. She'll not respond again until someone with respect for the other players of this game posts.

That's typical of a spoiled brat! It's my ball, if I don't win I'm taking the ball in!

Well if you fetch it out again Miss Rawhide, I'll pop the bloody thing!

(continuing from posts)

Posts should be in correct sequence and the rules should be adhered to. Anybody neglecting these basic principles may be stood up. Laughing

Is anyone on here out of nappies yet? It looks like a bunch of brats who are unable to come to terms with each other.

Other Voices, Other Rooms-I've always loved that title, though I have to admit, that's one of Truman Capote's works I haven't read. I think the title appeals to me so much because it reminds me that there is always something else going on just beyond the limits of what is conscious reality for each individual, although I have no idea if that is, in fact, one of the themes addressed in this particular work.
