Catism is a very unfortunate condition. It can be treated though, even when chronic, by stroking the sufferer until she purrs.

Purrs, growls - much the same. On the whole I prefer human interaction to domestic animal.

Animal behaviour has been studied and exhibited more than is decent. Some of the activity shown and described is disgraceful.

Disgraceful is in the mind of the beholder. Wouldn't you to prefer to grow old disgracefully than gracefully?

Gracefully entering the smallest room Erica closed the door silently. She emerged a few minutes later looking exactly the same despite weighing a pound and a half less.

Less bacon, fewer pigs. Katharine Whitehorn said that, to illustrate the grammatical point, and I admire that woman.

Woman's work is never done they. Do you think this still applies as a man does equally if not more work at home these days?

Days are difficult things to deal with. One wakes up after dreaming of wondrous and enchanting movies in which one is a major character, and often the star, for 9 hours and then there's all this shite known as days to deal with before you can have another go.

Go ahead have a second cup of coffee if you want my doctor said to me this week. Caffeine might not be as bad as you think it is.

Is it likely that Nicolas Sarkozy will become French president? Will he be used on the adverts for butter?

Butter adverts you say? Why would he be used on those....I've got a feeling the answer may not be simple.

Simple souls are unlikely to have seen the whole of Last Tango In Paris. They probably stayed until the usual courtesies had been dealt with.

With the warm weather continuing downunder, water levels in our reservoirs have dropped to a dangerous level. As from the start of next month no water is allowed to be used outside at all.

all water users are requested not to water their lawns between 10 a.m. and 5 a.m. of the following day (actually from last year's local watering ordinance) .
you may , however , water your flowers with a watering can .

Can-can is regarded today primarily as a music hall dance. The main features of the dance are the lifting up and manipulation of the skirts, with high kicking and suggestive, provocative body movements.

Movements of people from drought-stricken areas is predicted by European politicians. This would result in huge numbers of illegal immigrants.

Immigrants moving under such circumstance are not really immigrants at all. They would be more like a migrating herd of millions of beasts to which no law could be applied although it won't happen while most of us are here so we will carry on as we are and just pay lip service to the politician's hand-wringing when we have nothing else to do and need to feel all virtuous and responsible for a short spell without bothering to think that if we actually were all virtuous and respomnsible all of the time in this respect the DOW and the FTSE would enter territory not seen for many a long year and that would be the end of more than just pensions.

Pensions be blowed- do you meant to say that Sarcozy uses butter in the same way as memorably demonstrated by Marlon Brando in that film and I knew nothing about it? Sheesh, I knew I shouldn't have cancelled my deliveries of News of the World.

World Cup cricket comes to a climax in the holiday isles this week with semi-finals tomorrow and Wednesday and the final on Saturday. So get stocked up with the necessities in order to avoid having to go outside or anything as silly as that.

That cricket world cup in the West Indies is a fore-gone conclusion. Come the weekend and the all conquering lads from down under will carry the trophy home.
