Developed muscles are a sign of an insecure narcissitic temperment. Ladies should beware of them and stick to offering comfort to thin weedy types who have had sand kicked in their faces.

Faces are now to be transplanted, which must make the patients wonder who they really are. Imagine looking into a mirror and seeing someone else!

Poet Laureate is an official position in a number of countries and, in return for various rewards, required to pen verses on certain state occasions for official use. In the UK the present holder of the title is Mr Andrew Motion.

Motion picture producers recognize the high trust and confidence which have been placed in them by the people of the world and which have made motion pictures a universal form of entertainment.

They recognize their responsibility to the public because of this trust and because entertainment and art are important influences in the life of a nation

Nation states are artificial creations of mankind resulting from small local groups having bred up enough to be roughly in balance with each other at fighting. At some point they then begin the opposite process and begin to break up.

Up until five minutes ago I was completely unaware of the gentleman's name. Now I wonder if the nickname "Tree-in" (as in Poet Tree-in Motion) is ever given to him.

States of the former Soviet Union are of course now full-blown countries, and they are huge. I have been briefly in Kazakhstan and for a longer time in Uzbekistan, in Tashkent and Samarkand.

West is wet is the slogan for my part of the world, and listening to the drips on the roof, it seems to be absolutely true. It is what gives the area its characteristic emerald green tinge.

Tinge means to apply a trace of colour. The word can also be used to add a slight element in a sentence, e.g. 'a tinge of regret'.

English needs no marketing. It sells itself because those who can't speak it are at a disadvantage from the point of view of their careers.

I'm sorry McTag I would never ignore a post! A2K must be playing tricks, I can assure you your post was not there when I replied to Clary's "Samarkand" despite what the times says. Shall we start again with "Postlethwaite"?

Father is traditionally the male parent of a child. Like mothers, fathers may be categorised according to their biological, social or legal relationship with the child
