Category analysis is a sub-set of mathematics. I can't say I understand it myself but a visit to the Science and Mathematics threads should clear up any difficulties anybody might be labouring under.

"Under the boardwalk" was a past hit for the Drifters. Bette Midler performed the song in her 1988 movie Beaches.

Beaches are usually nicer in theory than in practice, or at least, seen from a slight distance rather than up close. Pebbles hurt and sand gets everywhere, and nasty things can often be found while walking at the tide line.

"Rocks" seems to be an odd word to choose in the phrase 'to get one's rocks off'. It has none of the soft and yielding attributes one might expect.

"Expect anything!", Vanessa giggled as she pulled Rupert along the gangplank with his tie. He gulped funkily.

(Traveller's Tales by Frank Harris).

Funkily, the young woman danced along the street. I can't think of a use for the adverb in any other context.

Context research jobs I recently studied I found very interesting, they explored a wide range of topics and issues. They included: an ethnography of wine communities around Australia, and women's attitudes about the outdoors.

Outdoors - overrated in my opinion; if it's fine weather, pleasantly warm, OK, but any extreme like rain, cold or heat makes it unbearable. Wine, now you're talking.

Talking and participating in wine tasting is an enjoyable experience. Even better if the wines are paired with a selection of delicious foods.

Foods are a tiresomely necessary part of our existence. I don't know what we would do without them.

Them and Us - we all have this division somewhere in our consciousnesses, whatever they happen to mean. The divisions could be on race, class, age, religion, or financial status.

Status quo is a Latin term meaning the present, current, existing state of affairs. To maintain the status quo is to keep things the way they presently are.

Are thongs comfortable is what I want to know. Seeing them in the pub gives the impression that they are aggravating.

Felony prevention is an impossible task. Were it to become successful new felonies would be invented to keep the businesses running.

Running away is a serious problem. Reasons kids run away include, problems at school, parents separating or divorcing, and peer pressure.

Pressure is what football managers train their squads to exert on opposing teams. It doesn't always work of course and is often counter-productive.

Counterproductive means tending to hinder the achievement of a goal. Like nuclear deterrence fuelled the arms race and increased tension between the United States and the Soviet Union.

Union rules suggest that no discrimination should take place. Yet some of the union members are extremely prejudiced and discriminatory.
