"Know this, white eyes" hissed Little Bear. "The Sioux nation will never allow the accursed iron horse across the range of the buffalo,"

Buffalo Bill came then, slaughtering every bison he could. Then the Chinese could eat meat with their rice.

Rice, Bush's spokesperson, bumbling across the world in black. And propping up the ghastliness.

Sale Harriers used to have quite a lot of famous athletes. Diane Modahl was one, although her career came to an end under the heavy cloud of a drugs scandal.

Scandal, featuring Patti Smythe, had one hit 'The Warrior' in the mid 80s - took me 15 years to track down a copy.

Copy for newspapers has to be dealt with so quickly that they can rarely check the accuracy of their stories. I remember once appearing in a newspaper story with 13 factual mistakes in it, from the spelling of my name to the number of children I had.

Had I known then what I know now, I wouldn't have done what I did. Nah, I would!

Here and there, hither and yon you zoom. One never knows when you're at home. I certainly don't need a second invitation to visit such a nice part of the world....and such good company, too!

Far flung friends make wonderful visitors. But it is so sad when they go home.

Directions given verbally sometimes result in one becoming hopelessly lost. A well-drawn map is so much easier to follow.

"Follow, follow,
We will follow Rangers"

is a well-known song in the west of Glasgow and a sign to cross the road quickly if you hear it nearby.

Nearby Plymouth is the seat of football unrest even though they have a lousy team. But most of the murders involve the navy.
