Slumps are nothing new if you live in Boston. World Series one year, disperse them to the four winds the next.

Next time around it would be helpful if those Bostonians didn't prattle on about how superb they are. That was the beginning of their demise this past season, which made me very happy.

For Shazzer - I will interrupt the baseball conversation and get back to the beaches issue.
I am on the Central Coast, one hour north of Sydney. Your plans sound good, make sure you include Freshwater (#1), Dee Why, Bilgola - any of the northern beaches.

 Thanks boys!

Don't know much about baseball.

Cricket is the big game here in summer.

Try Marrage for a real game of chance.

I assume you meant 'marriage' - correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyone want to resurrect this thread? I was quite enjoying it.

It has languished since McTag and I have been in India. We used to be the mainstays of it, but now you lot had better pull your weight too!

Tell us about Mother India. My short stay there involved people panicking about a king cobra in the compound and a beer drinking contest I was invited to judge.

Going from "Too"

Too many people are getting too fast and loose with the rules. The rules of this game can be read on Post #1 (and have been repeated since) so shape up!

Repost of the basic rules/format:

I'm not sure if this game's gonna work, but I figured I'd try it.
It's very simple. Just write two sentences, starting with the last word on the post above you. They don't have to relate to each other.

For instance:
Post: I'm itchy. I really feel like SHAVING.

Reply: Shaving my cat? Yeah, that's tough, but not as tough as mounting a PONY.

And now moving on from McTag...

Up until today winter has been rather timid about arriving. Perhaps tonight I will need to have an extra blanket pulled from the closet.

Closet space is surely a major cause of marital disharmony. Why not just leave your clothes on the floor?

Floor polish can be lethal- one false step, and whoosh, you're a goner. Far better to leave the floor unpolished, and just give it a wipe occasionally.

Occasionally I have considered moving back to New York City; but I doubt I'd handle the closed in space of miniscule apartments very well. As far as I can tell I will be here until my maker comes calling.

Calling a spade a shovel gets me into so much trouble. Maybe I should just be a quiet, demure little creature and bore myself to tears.

Tears start to sting my eyes, especially the corners when I think about some of the trouble I have caused people over the years. After a little thought and reflection however, I can paste a smile back on my face as I recollect better moments.

Moments to savour: mem'ries, like the corners of my mind, misty, water-coloured....I think I will copyright that line.

Line dancing has the same effect on me as a cobra has on a mouse.

I can't stand it but I find it fascinating to watch.

Watch making used to be the prerogative of the very short-sighted. Nobody has a use for us nowadays.

Nowadays one can spend more time reminiscing about some of the good times than one spent having them. That sounds so precious!
