Military Unit Motto

Hey all,

I am a member of the military and we have recently formed a new Battalion. I've been tasked with ensuring that our new unit motto is legitimate and grammatically correct.

Any help/advice to confirm the meaning of the motto "Excudi per Ardua" would be greatly appreciated.
